Job Description

Title: Project Engineer –  Hydro Construction (Rivers), Hydro electric, Fisheries, Canals, Environmentally Sensitive Projects

Our client, a $100M/Yr General Engineering Contractor is based near Sacramento, California. The company has emphasized quality work at competitive prices for 60 years. Throughout the years client has grown steadily to meet the engineering construction needs of the western states. Today, client is recognized as a leader in specialized technical and difficult engineering construction projects requiring a high skill level in problem solving and risk management. They integrate these skills with their clients to provide solutions with a variety of delivery methods in the following areas of construction expertise: hydro electric generation, water pumping facilities, heavy underground utilities, bridges, environmental enhancements, recreational improvements and site work.Project Experience 3+ years experience as Project Engineer in Hydro Civil Construction. Focus on small Hydro Electric Generation construction preferred.2. Hydro and water conveyance including dams, gate replacements, canals, flumes, fishery structures, powerhouse would be a plus .3. Self-performing experience in above specialties.

Job Requirements

Skills

• BS / CM or CE Degree preferred.• Adaptable, intelligent and able to pick things up quickly.

• Technology: Probe estimating, PM & scheduling software (primavera, MS project, bluebeam, etc).

• Experience in writing or overseeing technical proposals.

• Ability to forge strong partnering relationships with clients.

• Positive communications skills consistent with client’s culture.

• Must have strong record of, and positive attitude towards safety and environmental sensitivity on projects..

• Need project list.TravelMust be available to work out-of-town, possibly for extended periods. Client picks up living expenses and adds 10% to salary for time spent on out-of-town project.Compensation

• Base Salary $70- $85K + DOE

• Relocation assistance available on case-by-case basis. No home purchase.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation

$70,000 to $90,000 base salary DOE. 

• Client is an ESOP with shares provided at no cost to employee based on annual profitability

• 401(K) with 25% match on first 10% of contribution
